    Description

This post card was mailed from Lushun("Port Arthur" in Russian), Manchuria, on August 21, 1909, almost certainly by an Italian sailor from the Italian cruiser(R. Nave) "Puglia." The addressee was a mate on the same ship then in Dalny(Dairen), Manchuria. The Russo-Japan had ended about 4 years before.
To continue, the gray, 1/2-Sen, Japanese stamp is in good condition, but does have some
    toning
around some of the perfs. The cancel from the Japanese Post Office in Lushun(Port Arthur) is complete and legible. There are two, unofficial, "Port Arthur," stamps on the front of the card, too. The black-and-white picture of, "Interior Battery, Port Arthur," on the front of the Japanese-produced card is in great condition. All in all, this post card is a unique piece of Italian naval postal history!
