In the summer of 1941, Joe DiMaggio achieved a feat in baseball that will likely prove to be the most elusive of all offensive records in baseball history. We are speaking of course about his incredible 56 game hitting streak. It's been nearly 80 years and nobody has come close to his record. Leroy Neiman chose to celebrate this baseball record for the ages in this Lithograph which he entitled "The DiMaggio Cut." This is one of the most famous "Joltin' Joe" images of all times.
What makes this lithograph better than almost any other being sold online is that Joe added the very rare "Yankee Clipper" inscription. This inscription makes this piece much more rare and valuable than versions without the inscription. Only 236 of this lithograph were produced and only a small fraction of them included this very rare inscription!
