  • Condition: The 1984-85 UAB (Alabama-Birmingham) team was one of the best in school history. Gene Bartow's Blazers went 25-9, including 11-3 in the Sun Belt Conference. UAB got an at large berth to the NCAA Tournament and shocked Michigan State 70-68 in the first round, before succumbing to Keith Lee and Final Four bound Memphis State 67-66 in Overtime. Steve Mitchell led the team in scoring, averaging 18 points a game. Jerome Mincy and James Ponder were also double digits/game scorers...With Coach Bartow joined by seniors Pipo Marrero, Murry Bartow and Marvin Ray Johnson, plus the 1984 Sun Belt Conference Championship trophy on the front cover, this is the 1984-85 UAB Blazers Basketball Media Guide....Please see first 2 pics for condition of covers....insides with the lightest of wear...104 pages....EX+++....Due to pic restrictions, we were unable to show pics/bios of players Tracy Foster, Michael Charles, Eddie Collins, John Brown, Cedric Evans and Bruce Baker.
