    The Colts were in the process of assembling the powerhouse team that dominated the NFL in the late '50's, and they added a key piece to the puzzle in '55 when they made Heisman Trophy winner Alan "The Horse" Ameche their first round draft pick - the Hall of Famer paid off bigtime.  The roster was filled with other stars of the Baltimore championship clubs - Ray Berry, Art Donovan, Gino Marchetti, Jim Mutscheller, Bert Rechichar and future head coach Don Shula.  There are photos and bios of all of the players, the full training camp roster, the teams year-by-year performance and team and individual all-time records
